An individual armed with a Kalashnikov-type assault rifle broke into a cafe this Sunday afternoon in the town of Tarek Ibn Zied in the Aïn Defla region, west of Algiers, and opened fire, killing one person and wounding many others. The identity and motivations of the shooter have not been named.
