An Egyptian ceasefire agreement that would terminate three days of Israeli aggression on the Gaza strip is predicted to take effect at 11:30 PM local time.
An Egyptian statement said, “In the context of Egypt’s keenness to finish the current tension in the Gaza Strip, Egypt has intensified its contacts with all parties to contain the current escalation, and in light of those contacts Egypt calls for a comprehensive and mutual ceasefire as of 23:30 (Palestine time) on August 7, 2022.”
Egypt is exerting efforts to release of prisoner Khalil Awawda and transfer him for treatment, as well as working to release the prisoner Bassam al-Saadi as soon as possible”, the statement adds.
So far the occupation aggression has left 43 Palestinians dead, 15 of them children, and more than 300 wounded
