Palestinian PM urges EU to pressure Israel to stop Gaza attacks

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa on Monday called on the European Union to exert more pressure on Israel to stop its attacks on the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

On the sidelines of the European-Palestinian High-Level Political Dialogue in Luxembourg, Mustafa also urged European leaders to push Israel “to open the crossings with the Gaza Strip and allow the entry of humanitarian and relief aid, given the severe shortage of medicine and food, which threatens to spread hunger and disease.”

The ministry said that the prime minister discussed with the EU foreign ministers ways to increase international support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
