The General Legislation Commission is holding a session this Tuesday, February 3, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m., devoted to examining several legislative initiatives, including a key proposal related to literary and artistic property.
Hearing on literary and artistic property
During this meeting, commission members will hear from the deputies who initiated the draft law aimed at amending and supplementing Law No. 36 of 1994, which governs literary and artistic property, in its amended version.
This step seeks to deepen discussions on the proposed adjustments to the legal framework, particularly in light of ongoing changes in the ways creative works are produced, distributed, and protected.
Review of five draft laws
The session will also focus on the review of several draft laws referred to the commission pursuant to a decision by the Assembly’s Bureau dated January 29, 2026.
The draft laws concerned are:
Draft law No. 100/2025
Draft law No. 113/2025
Draft law No. 09/2026
Draft law No. 10/2026
Draft law No. 11/2026
These legislative initiatives fall within the commission’s regular work, which involves examining legal and institutional texts before they move forward to the next stages of the parliamentary process.
A key step in the parliamentary process
This session represents a crucial stage in the legislative pathway of the proposed texts, as the General Legislation Commission plays a central role in analyzing, amending, and legally assessing draft laws submitted to Parliament.
