French President Emmanuel Macron revealed on Wednesday that the measures directed at curbing the spread of COVID-19 put in place in 19 regions in the country will be enforced nationwide.
The widened lockdown will take effect on April 3 and continue in place for at least 4 weeks, Macron explained, crediting the measures to an increase in COVID infections, as well as the number of people hospitalized.
