Person shot in Washington unrest

At least one person was shot after the demonstrators stormed the buildings on Capitol Hill, Fox reported on Wednesday quoting a Washington DC paramedic. A report by CNN also supported Fox’ news and added that the person shot is in critical condition.

United States House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy affirmed that shots have been fired amid unrest.

A spokesperson told The Associated Press on Wednesday that officers from the Federal Protective Service and US Secret Service agents are being sent to the scene. He says they were requested to assist by US Capitol Police.
