United States Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar asserted on Friday the vaccine against coronavirus produced by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE could be authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) “in weeks.”
Azar said he anticipated 40 million doses of the treatments produced by Pfizer and BioNTech, as well as by Moderna Inc., would be administered in the country by the end of December.
