Police bans Jeju Air CEO from leaving South Korea

South Korean police said on Thursday that it banned Jeju Air Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kim E-bae from leaving the country after one of the airline’s planes crashed and killed 179 people last week.

The “investigation team imposed a travel ban on two individuals, including Jeju Air CEO Kim E-bae,” police in South Jeolla Province, where the crash in the city of Muan happened, said, claiming that the CEO may be an important witness in their investigation into the crash.
