The Criminal Chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal decided today, Tuesday, to delay the hearing in the case against former Minister of Justice and Ennahda Movement leader Noureddine Bhiri to next April while keeping him in custody pending the case.
The Criminal Chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance had previously convicted Noureddine Bhiri to ten years in prison on charges related to orchestrating an attack aimed at changing the structure of the state, inciting residents to attack one another, and causing unrest in Tunisia. These charges stem from a social media post attributed to him following his participation in a protest organized by the Salvation Front in the Mnihla region.
