The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a new technical assistance program aimed at helping African countries turn their energy commitments into real electricity access for millions of people across the continent.
The AfDB Board of Directors approved the “AESTAP Mission 300 – Phase II” project, with a budget of $3.9 million over two years, providing direct technical support to 13 African countries under the Mission 300 initiative. Launched jointly with the World Bank Group, Mission 300 aims to connect 300 million Africans to electricity by 2030.
