President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, welcomed this Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Carthage Palace, prime minister Kamel El Madouri for a meeting focused on several crucial issues for the country.

Among the topics examined, is the necessity to guarantee the regular functioning of state institutions and to take legal measures against any official who does not fulfil their duties.

During this interview, President Lais Saïed insisted on the significance of the duty of neutrality and reserve for all public officials.

“Every citizen has the right to have their own opinions and beliefs, but in public service, it is imperative to treat all citizens equally,” the president expressed, underscoring the importance of impartial treatment in all administrations.

The Head of State also discussed the bills that will soon be submitted to the Council of Ministers. Among them, the bill on the Higher Council of Education and Teaching, as well as another project aimed at organizing relations between the House of People’s Representatives and the National Council of Regions and Districts. The president insisted on the importance of quickly finalizing these texts to strengthen the country’s legislative framework.

In anticipation of the beginning of the school year, Kaïs Saïed called for careful preparation of school aides. He insisted on the need to find new solutions to guarantee access to school supplies for families in difficulty.

This initiative seeks to reduce the burden on the most deprived households.
