President Saied: “Henchir El Nefidha Area Was 100,000 Hectares, Now Only 80,000 Hectares”

President of the Republic, Kais Saied, confirmed that the products from the Enfidha Estate were employed to meet the needs of many areas before corruption spread. He pointed out that the area of the estate was initially 100,000 hectares, but it has now been decreased to only 80,000 hectares, according to his statements during his visit to the Enfidha Estate on Sunday.

Saied observed the absence of land allocated for fodder, vegetables, and fruit trees on the estate, noting that organic olives and the air-conditioning station had been robbed, and many cows and sheep had died due to neglect.

He also mentioned that corruption had reached the process of “greening the olive trees,” where a public auction is held, but in reality, the auction is only awarded to one person. He stressed that more than 10,000 olive trees had been systematically targeted and turned into charcoal. Saied insisted that urgent actions would be taken at the national level.

Saied called for complete accountability for those who have taken possession of any part of this land, even if it was only a single fruit.
