The candidate for the presidential election, Ayachi Zammel, was summoned this Thursday, August 15, 2024 to appear before agents of the Sijoumi judicial police brigade.
This summons follows a judgment by the prosecution at the court of first instance of Tunis 2, which ordered the opening of an investigation involving the sponsorships collected by the candidate as part of his electoral campaign. The latter should clarify the circumstances in which these sponsorships were obtained.
The hearing by the Sijoumi judicial police services aims to shed light on this matter to guarantee transparency and respect for electoral procedures.
