Farouk Bouasker, president of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE), reported that 3 candidates have been picked for the presidential elections scheduled for October 6, after examining the files.
Speaking on the sidelines of a press briefing held this Saturday, the president of the ISIE revealed that the following candidates had been selected:
1- Zouhair ben Mohamed Salah Maghzoaui: 11 parliamentary sponsorships
2- Kais Saïed: 248,467 sponsorships spread over 135 electoral constituencies and 294 sponsorships of elected officials distributed between Parliament, the Council of Regions and local authorities
3-Ayachi Zammel: 10,457 sponsorships in 10 electoral districts
14 application files were denied, announced the ISIE.
