For former minister and president of the National Coalition Party, Neji Jalloul, the situation is definitive. His appeal to be reinstated in the October 6, 2024, presidential race was dismissed on procedural grounds by the General Assembly of the Administrative Court. The ruling was delivered on Tuesday, August 27.
It’s worth noting that on August 19, the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) reported that all appeals against its decisions had been denied at the first instance. In total, four appeals were dismissed—one on procedural grounds and three on substantive grounds. Following these decisions, Abdellatif Mekki and Jalloul took the matter to the Administrative Court on August 20, 2024. The court has now ruled, and as specified on Monday by ISIE spokesperson Mohamed Tlili Mansri, the decision is final.
