Qatar bids farewell to World Cup after Losing 1-3 to Senegal

Qatar bid farewell to the World Cup after being beaten by Senegal 1-3 in the second round of the World Cup’s group stage.

Senegal opened the scoring in the 42nd minute.

Four minutes after the break, Famara Diédhiou towered above Qatar’s defense to hit a brilliant header into the back of the net. 

Mohammed Muntari decreased the deficit with a brilliant header, scoring Qatar’s first goal in the tournament. 

Six minutes before the time, Bamba Dieng sealed the victory with a powerful strike from the penalty area.
