The National Institute of Meteorology announced that weather conditions will be marked, from the afternoon of tomorrow, Tuesday, 06 January 2026, by scattered rainfall, temporarily accompanied by thunderstorms, across western regions.
These showers are expected to gradually extend to the eastern areas of the North and the Centre, and may at times be heavy during the night, particularly in the extreme North-West, where the highest accumulations are forecast to range between 20 and 40 millimetres, with localized hailfall.
A notable decline in temperatures is also expected from Wednesday, 07 January 2026. Maximum temperatures will range between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius, and will not exceed 6 degrees in mountainous areas.
Minimum temperatures will generally vary between 5 and 8 degrees, and between 0 and 4 degrees in western regions, with localized snowfall expected on the highlands of Jendouba, Béja, Le Kef and Siliana.
