The Member of Parliament for the Ben Guerdane constituency, Ali Zaghdoud, confirmed that traffic flow at the Ras Jedir border crossing has remained below normal since March 19, 2024.
He noted that the smooth circulation of goods continues to face disruptions, particularly on the Libyan side.
Contacts with Libyan stakeholders
In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Ali Zaghdoud revealed that intensive contacts are underway with the president of the economic chamber in Zouara, as well as with several stakeholders in western Libya, in order to reach, as soon as possible, an agreement ensuring the necessary fluidity.
The MP stressed that sustained efforts are being made to restore the smooth flow of goods and the pace of traffic at the border crossing, with the aim of returning to the level of activity that prevailed before March 19, 2024.
