In a press release issued today, the Ministry of Health recalled that this period is marked in Tunisia, like all countries, by the spread of respiratory diseases.
“Updated data at the national and international levels confirm that the viruses currently circulating are identified and do not present major risks of concern for public health,” the ministry reassures.
He added that daily monitoring of the health situation is ensured in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO). In this context, the ministry affirmed that it has a plan to act in the event of a possible epidemic.
The minister also recalled the necessity for annual vaccination to prevent the main viruses, especially for children, infants, seniors and people with chronic diseases.
Finally, the ministry called for the need to be vigilant in the face of rumours and to use official information published by the Ministry of Health.
