“The 2025 draft state budget offers nothing new. Like prior financial laws, it repeats the same slogans and follows the same directions,” stated financial and economic expert Ridha Chakandali.
Speaking with Tunisie Numérique, Chakandali revealed that these orientations are represented first in controlling the wage bill as a primary goal by freezing recruitment in the civil service not filling vacancies and covering confirmed needs by re-employing available human resources.
The same source noted that the most prominent of these orientations is furthermore represented in controlling operating expenses and sustaining their current levels. In addition to depending on oneself and maintaining the balance of public finances by collecting the state’s resources and strengthening its social role.
Our speaker added that continuing to govern support expenditures while preserving the purchasing power of the Tunisian citizens and giving absolute priority to established projects, particularly those that have been suspended, are also among the most important axes of the 2025 Finance Bill.
