Russian health authorities unveiled on Wednesday that over the past day 984 people died due to the coronavirus. This means that the total death toll in the country now stands at 219,329 and is the second consecutive day that the record was broken.
At the same time, the country saw 28,717 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 7,861,681. On the other hand, 21,801 people recovered from the virus, meaning that the total number of recoveries is now 6,916,086.
