Russia’s Health Ministry announced on Monday the country recorded 25,140 new COVID-19 cases and 710 deaths over the past day, resulting in a new total of 5.8 million cases and 143,712 fatalities since the start of the pandemic.
Nevertheless , the Federal State Statistics Service noted in its separate tally that around 290,000 deaths between April last year and May 2021 could be linked to the coronavirus.
