Russia’s health authorities reported on Thursday that over the past day 1,251 people died as a result of the coronavirus, setting a new pandemic record in the country. This means that the total death toll from the virus now stands at 260,335.
For the same period, a further 37,374 tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 9,219,912. On the other hand, the number of recoveries increased by 36,414 to 7,919,250.
