MILITARY ADVANCEMENTS OF UKRAINIAN ARMY
- On May 30-31, Defence Forces of Ukraine carried out successful attacks on Russian targets on the Crimean and Caucasian coasts.
- Kerch ferry, which are actively used to ensure the grouping of Russian troops in the temporarily occupied Crimea, were damaged. Ukrainian missiles and naval drones caused damages to Russian vessels: ferries, troop-carrying boats, and a pilot boat.
- The ‘’modern’’ Russian anti-aircraft systems, as well as combat aircraft and sea barriers, did not help Russian invaders. The Russian military logistics in Crimea were significantly undermined due to the successful combat work of Ukrainian Defence Forces.
INABILITY OF RUSSIA TO FULFIL ITS OBLIGATIONS
- Russian side signals its readiness for negotiations on the suspension of hostilities along the current line of combat. Putin repeated remarks about ‘’readiness for negotiations’’ are an attempt to disrupt the Peace Summit, which will be held in Switzerland on June 15-16.
- No Russian initiative is trustworthy. In 2014, with its invasion, Russia violated 407 bilateral agreements with Ukraine and 80 international acts. Moscow lied about peace while preparing a large-scale armed invasion in 2022.
- Putin continues to destroy the world order based on international law. Russia’s negotiating conditions have not changed. Ukraine will not give Putin its territories and will not let the world’s vigilance fall asleep in order to prepare a new wave of escalation.
- Achieving peace requires a global effort. That is why Ukraine is convening a global Peace Summit.
