Russian Ambassador to Egypt Sergei Kirpichenko has passed away in a Cairo hospital at the age of 68, said the Russian Foreign Ministry on Monday.

“This morning, a talented diplomat and a reliable friend, Russian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Egypt Sergey Vadimovich Kirpichenko died unexpectedly in a hospital in Cairo,” added the ministry.
