Safer Internet Day: Tunisia Launches “The Four No’s” Campaign to Protect Children Online [Video]

    On the occasion of the International Safer Internet Day, observed on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Tunisia’s Ministry of Family, Women, Children and Seniors, in partnership with the Ministry of Communication Technologies, launched a national awareness capsule titled “The Four No’s.” The initiative aims to encourage parents to adopt effective parental control practices and ensure safer online experiences for children.

    The campaign is part of broader national efforts to strengthen families’ ability to guide children in their use of digital technologies, particularly as concerns grow over early exposure to screens and the Internet.

    Four age-based guidelines

    The awareness capsule outlines four key recommendations designed to regulate children’s use of digital tools according to their age:

    • No screens before the age of 3;
    • No video games before the age of 6;
    • No Internet access without parental supervision before the age of 9;
    • No websites or social media before the age of 15.

    Through these guidelines, authorities emphasize the importance of continuous parental involvement to promote responsible digital behavior and reduce exposure to online risks.

    The initiative falls under the National Charter to Support Family Capacities for a Safe Digital Environment for Children and is aligned with Tunisia’s participatory national program aimed at preventing risky behaviors among young people.
