The handover ceremony took place on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Administrative Court of Tunisia in the capital, following the appointment of Samira Guiza as First President of the Court, succeeding Abdessalem Mehdi Grissia, who retired after reaching the statutory retirement age, according to a statement issued by the institution.
The Official Gazette of the Republic of Tunisia, No. 25 published today, included Decree No. 30 of 2026, dated March 2, formally appointing Samira Guiza as First President of the Administrative Court.
The ceremony was attended by judges, senior officials and staff members of the Administrative Court.
In its statement, the Court noted that the handover was conducted in accordance with established procedures and traditions, with a view to ensuring the continuity of the Court’s operations and the regular and uninterrupted functioning of administrative justice.
The ceremony forms part of the rotation of judicial responsibilities, aimed at guaranteeing the continued fulfillment of the Administrative Court’s mandate in consolidating the rule of law and state institutions, as well as upholding the principle of legality. Abdessalem Mehdi Grissia had held the post since April 2016.
