Saudi club Al-Ittihad Jeddah has officially announced the departure of its experienced French midfielder N’Golo Kanté during the ongoing winter transfer window, following the conclusion of a final agreement regarding his future.
In a statement published on its official account on the “X” platform, the club confirmed that it had approved the transfer of the remaining duration of N’Golo Kanté’s contract, while wishing him every success in the next stage of his football career.
The statement also noted that the French international made a significant contribution since joining the club and played a decisive role in Al-Ittihad’s triumph, securing a historic double with the Saudi Roshn League title and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup. The club expressed its gratitude for all that he delivered while wearing the team’s colours.
By way of reminder, N’Golo Kanté joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer from Chelsea.
He had signed a contract running until 2026 and made 104 appearances in all competitions for the Saudi club, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists.
