On Friday, December 6, 2024, law enforcement units, under the supervision of senior officials from the Ministry of the Interior and in coordination with the Public Prosecution, conducted numerous raids in the regions of Kairouan and Mahdia.
These operations led to the arrest of 432 people classified as dangerous, either wanted or convicted for crimes involving drugs and other violations.
Additionally, security forces seized substantial quantities of illegal substances, including:
- 44 kg of cannabis,
- 2.5 kg of cocaine,
- 235 narcotic pills.
This operation emphasises the authorities’ commitment to tackling crime and drug-related offences, guaranteeing the safety and security of citizens. Further details regarding the suspects and the legal proceedings are expected in the coming days.
