Mohamed Hajri, Governor of Sfax, kicked off on Friday, December 5, 2025, the distribution of humanitarian aid to help vulnerable families cope with the cold wave and adverse weather conditions. The announcement was made from the Regional Solidarity Warehouse, in line with directives issued by President Kaïs Saïed to the Minister of Social Affairs, urging the rapid delivery of assistance to those in need.
According to regional authorities, the list of beneficiaries has been established based on the national social protection program and low-income households, ensuring that support goes primarily to the most vulnerable segments of the population across the Sfax governorate.
Accelerated outreach to vulnerable groups
The distribution operation officially began today in several delegations of Sfax, giving priority to families and regions most affected by the drop in temperatures and weather instability. The Governor emphasized that interventions will be guided by a fairness-based approach and social equity.
He also stated that the entire process will be closely monitored by local authorities to guarantee that aid reaches its recipients under the best possible conditions and with full transparency.
This initiative is part of ongoing state efforts to support citizens throughout the winter season and to mitigate the negative impact of climate fluctuations on low-income households.
