The Tunisie Numérique correspondent in Sfax recorded, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the prices of several food products—particularly vegetables, fruit, meat and fish—during the second week of the month of Ramadan.
Vegetable and fruit prices
In the region’s markets, the observed prices were as follows:
Peppers: 2.4 dinars per kg
Tomatoes: 1.9 dinars per kg
Potatoes: 1.9 dinars per kg
Strawberries: 10 dinars per kg
Dates: 8.5 dinars per kg
Red and white meat prices
The survey also covered meat, with the following prices:
Lamb: 48 dinars per kg
Chicken: 8.4 dinars per kg
Escalope: 17.9 dinars per kg
Fish prices
As for seafood, the recorded prices were:
Red mullet: 12 dinars per kg
Sea bass: 26 dinars per kg
Shrimp: 30 dinars per kg
Sea bream: 22 dinars per kg
