In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Hatem Cherif, regional director of Health in the governorate of Sfax, stated that the number of citizens has almost quadrupled for the preventive vaccination against rabies prescribed by physicians.
“We have reached the expected goal of the awareness campaign,” said Hatem Cherif, who affirmed that no deaths in the governorate of Sfax have been registered.
Hatem Cherif did not fail to specify that a new unit specialized in vaccination against rabies is at the Habib Bourguiba University Hospital in Sfax.
Referring to the problem of stray dogs, Hatem Cherif emphasised that the regional delegation of agriculture has vaccinated dogs in all the delegations of the region.
