Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob announced on Thursday that his country’s government had decided to formally recognize a Palestinian state.
“Today the government has decided to recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign state,” Golob stated at a news conference in Ljubljana. A parliamentary endorsement will take place as a matter of routine next Tuesday.
