The Ministry of Social Affairs has announced the start, as of Thursday 11 December 2025, of the payment of the first instalment of family allowances for children aged between 6 and 18, for the first half of the year 2025.

According to the press release issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs, this payment operation concerns the first instalment of family allowances granted to children aged between 6 and 18, for the period corresponding to the first half of 2025.
This phase marks the effective launch of the scheme from a financial standpoint, following the establishment of the legal and regulatory framework during 2025. The families concerned will thus be able to begin benefiting from this support, which is intended to help cover schooling and basic needs for children in this age group.
A measure implementing the decision of the President of the Republic
The ministry specified that this payment is made in implementation of the decision of the President of the Republic, who had announced the introduction of this family allowance for children aged 6 to 18.
This measure forms part of the State’s social policy aimed at strengthening support for families, particularly those with limited income, and at reducing inequalities in access to education and basic services.
