South Korean activists gathered for a peaceful march in the heart of the capital on Saturday, November 8, to express solidarity with Palestine and call on certain South Korean companies to “cut their ties” with Israel.
During the demonstration, participants waved Palestinian flags in green, red, and black, chanting slogans such as “Stop killing children” and “Down with the occupation, long live liberation.”
Several South Korean corporations were directly targeted by the protesters, including HD Hyundai — the construction giant and former division of the renowned automotive group — whose name appeared on placards carried by demonstrators.
According to Amnesty International, the company’s construction equipment has been used to demolish Palestinian buildings.
