South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol announced he would rescind martial law in the nation following the National Assembly’s legislation overturning the state of emergency.
According to Yoon, he has summoned a Cabinet session to formally revoke martial law per the Constitution. This event signifies the first time in 44 years that martial law has been proclaimed in South Korea.
