Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa (pictured center) has handed in his resignation letter, Parliament Speaker Mahinda Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena confirmed the reports on Thursday.
The speaker stated he has received Rajapaksa’s letter in an e-mail and that its legality and validity are currently being checked.
