Summer safety: Ministry of Health issues food safety guidelines

As summer temperatures rise, the risk of foodborne illnesses increases significantly. These incidents are often caused by poor food storage or unsafe consumption practices.

In this context, the Ministry of Health urges everyone to remain vigilant and follow a few simple yet essential precautions to protect your health and that of your loved ones:

✅ Store meat, milk and dairy products, as well as cooked meals, in the refrigerator or a cool place.
✅ Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after preparing or eating food.
✅ Avoid buying or consuming food that is exposed to open air or not properly preserved.
✅ Do not consume food or beverages of unknown origin or sold outside regulated markets.
✅ Cook food thoroughly and avoid reheating it multiple times.
