After sharing the same pool and even the same lane during their first 500-yard (1,508.76 meters) freestyle race, the Tunisian duo of Ahmed Jaouadi and Ayoub Hafnaoui delivered another commanding performance on Tuesday evening—this time in the 1,650-yard (457.2 meters) freestyle.
Jaouadi led the field, clocking a new personal best of 14:25.14. The time stands as the second-fastest performance of the 2026 university championship.
His compatriot Hafnaoui also secured a podium finish, claiming the bronze medal with an identical time of 14:30.74.
