Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warns…

Syrian Foreign Minister and Expatriates Minister, Asaad Al-Shibani, warned on Thursday that any call for foreign intervention, under any pretext or slogan, would only lead to further deterioration and division.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted Al-Shibani as saying in posts on his X platform account that “the experiences of the region and the world bear witness to the high price paid by nations as a result of foreign interventions, which are often built at the expense of national interests and serve agendas unrelated to the aspirations of the Syrian people.”

He added: “Therefore, those who call for such intervention bear a historical, moral, and political responsibility before the Syrian people and before history, because the consequences of these calls do not end with immediate destruction, but extend to decades of fragmentation, weakness, and division.”
