Terrorism cases : 14 years in prison for a Tunisian who returned from Syria

The criminal chamber specializing in terrorism cases at the Court of First Instance in Tunis has sentenced to 14 years in prison a terrorist who returned from Syria after joining the terrorist organization Daesh in 2014.

The defendant is being prosecuted for “joining, inside and outside the national territory, a terrorist organization that has adopted terrorism as a means to achieve its objectives,” as well as for having received training with the aim of targeting a foreign country.
