The Netherlands has officially banned the burqa or niqab, in all public institutions. Anyone that knowingly violates the new ban will be fined $167.
The Dutch interior ministry published a statement asserting: “From now on the wearing of clothing which covers the face is banned in educational facilities, public institutions and buildings, as well as hospitals and public transport.
