At least three people, two women and one man, have been killed in an attack in front of the Notre Dame church in Nice on Thursday, according to French media. The attacker was critically injured by the local police and was subsequently taken into custody.
Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi said that “there is no doubt” that “we are once again victims of Islamic fascism,” according to Le Figaro. The French anti-terrorism prosecutor has opened an investigation into the incident and French President Emmanuel Macron will travel to Nice later in the day.
