As part of its efforts to promote Tunisian olive oil among Japanese business circles and the Japanese consumer in general, the Tunisian Embassy in Japan organized, on 6 November 2025, in cooperation with the dining services administration of the Fuji Art Museum in Tokyo, a tasting event featuring samples of Tunisian olive oil and a variety of traditional dishes prepared with olive oil, under the slogan: “Tunisian Olive Oil: Discover the Taste of Excellence.”
“This initiative aims to further promote the distinctive characteristics of Tunisian olive oil, its superior quality and its health benefits — the key elements behind the richness of Tunisian cuisine and culture,” the Tunisian embassy emphasized.
On this occasion, a promotional leaflet on olive oil, prepared by the embassy in English and Japanese, was distributed. It includes recipes for authentic and easy-to-prepare Tunisian traditional dishes, along with olive oil samples offered as gifts, with the aim of encouraging guests to purchase and consume Tunisian products.
The brochure also highlights the distinctive features of Tunisian olive oil, its superior quality, as well as Tunisia’s prestigious ranking among the world’s leading olive oil producers and exporters.
It also contains a collection of traditional Tunisian recipes prepared with olive oil, with the objective of introducing Japanese consumers to the authenticity and diversity of Tunisian cuisine, while shedding light on the nutritional value and health benefits of Tunisian olive oil.
