The 23rd session of the Algerian-Tunisian Joint Commission for Cooperation opened on Friday in Tunis, under the joint chairmanship of Tunisian Prime Minister Sara Zaafrani Zenzri and Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb.
The session marks a new step in strengthening bilateral relations between Tunisia and Algeria, as both countries seek to deepen their strategic partnership and elevate cooperation to match the strong historical ties binding the two neighbors.
According to the Algerian Press Agency, discussions during the commission focus on key strategic files, including the promotion of bilateral investment, the removal of obstacles hindering economic and trade exchanges, and the enhancement of cooperation across priority sectors.
Particular attention is being given to border region development, viewed by both governments as a crucial driver of economic integration, regional development, and shared stability.
The convening of this joint commission reflects the political will of both countries to advance cooperation toward broader horizons of coordination, economic complementarity, and sustainable partnership, in a manner that serves the interests of both peoples.
