The Tunis Transport Company (Transtu) announced on Thursday, January 22, 2026, the gradual resumption of metro services, starting from 7:10 a.m., following a temporary disruption in the rail network.
According to the official statement, the progressive recovery of rail traffic had already begun earlier in the morning on the northern suburbs line TGM (Tunis – La Goulette – La Marsa), where the first train departed at 5:40 a.m.
Transtu indicated that the return to normal operations will be carried out step by step across the entire network, in order to ensure passenger safety and the regularity of services. Commuters were urged to follow official updates for the latest information on schedules and traffic conditions.
