Tunis Stock Exchange : Tunindex Continues to Decline

    Market Overview

    For the third consecutive session, the Tunis Stock Exchange closed lower on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. The market’s benchmark index, the Tunindex, dropped by 0.14% to stand at 11,343.6 points.

    The Tunindex 20 followed suit, shedding 0.18% to end the day at 5,077.55 points. Out of 47 actively traded stocks, the market breadth leaned negative, with 25 decliners outpacing 22 gainers.

    Total trading volume reached 11.5 million dinars (MD), with no block trades recorded during the session.

    Stock Performance

    BEST LEASE recorded the session’s strongest performance, climbing 4.42% to 2.36 dinars (D), followed closely by UADH, which gained 4.17% to close at 0.50 D. Similarly, CIL and SOTIPAPIER advanced by 4.12% and 3.16% to reach 24.99 D and 3.92 D, respectively. PGH rose by 1.93% to settle at 15.80 D.

    On the downside, NBL led the losers, falling by 5.88% to 3.84 D, followed by ALKIMIA, which declined by 4.44% to 12.90 D. BTE (ADP) shed 4.37%, ending at 4.82 D. MAG GL and TAIR also lost ground, dropping by 3.82% and 2.63% to 6.80 D and 0.37 D, respectively.

    BIAT recorded the highest trading volume of the day, with 3.7 MD in exchanged capital.

    UIB followed with 1.8 MD in transactions, while ATTIJARI BANK saw 1.3 MD in total trades. PGH attracted 1.3 thousand dinars in capital, and MPBS was traded for a total of 959 thousand dinars.

    In the News

    SOTIPAPIER By the end of fiscal year 2024, the company posted a net profit of 3.5 MD, marking a 33% increase compared to the previous year.

    Revenue rose by 9.77%, exceeding 108 MD, while operating income climbed 12% to 7.2 MD.

    Financial charges amounted to 5 MD, up from 3.5 MD the year before — a 43% increase. Nevertheless, the company recorded 2.7 MD in other ordinary gains, largely derived from insurance reimbursements.

    Consolidated financial statements for 2024 show a group share of net profit at 3.1 MD, compared to 2.4 MD in 2023, representing a 27% improvement.
