Tunisia commemorates today the second anniversary of the passing of Maya Jribi, the first female leader of a political party in Tunisia and a tenacious supporter of democracy.
On this occasion, the prime ministry honoured her memory by saying that her memory is chance to remember that the progress made on the path of democracy an achievement owed it the martyrs and wounded of the revolution.
“We do not forget that the oppositionist resisting the tyranny has paved the way for us and we’re in The front line against oppression and dictatorship, and without them, we would not have got rid of the tyrannical regime”, the prime ministry said in a statement
She was raising voice against silencing and deprivation of rights, and she was the first Tunisian woman to lead a political party and was not wearied of supporting all who were devastated by the instrument of oppression and tyranny, and for this, she shall always remain an example in the struggle and patriotism in the contemporary history of Tunisia, the statement added.
