IOM Tunisia announced today that 309 Guinean and Ivorian migrants have safely returned to their countries of origin through two charter flights organized under IOM Tunisia’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme.
“In line with IOM procedures, beneficiaries receive tailored support before, during and after their return, including medical and psychosocial assistance, sustainable livelihood support and individualized case management,” the statement from IOM Tunisia said.
As a reminder, IOM Tunisia’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme is supported by the European Union and the governments of Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
