The regional health directorate of Beja declared that 5 new deaths from October 12 to 19, 2021, bringing the death tally to 665 since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic.
According to the same source, 34 new infections have been registered. As a result, 19,398 infections were recorded out of 45,693 tests carried out.
Noting that 15 people are currently admitted to hospitals in the region, authorities said the recovery rate has reached 99%.
